Founded by Tyra Banks, our Darling Harbour flagship isn’t just a scoop shop—it’s a full-blown, interactive, high-glam, theatrical ice cream experience. It’s storytelling, fantasy, and bold performance, dripping with drama and joy.
And you? You’re going to work the floor like it’s a stage.
SMiZE & DREAM is part scoop shop, part immersive show, part surreal dreamworld. Guests don’t just come for dessert—they come for a moment. A story. An experience they’ll talk about all week.
And that experience begins and ends with you!
WHO YOU ARE:
You’re a natural performer—trained, aspiring, or just plain born fabulous
You know how to hold a room, not just serve a table
You take feedback like direction, not criticism
You can be theatrical…and practical
You’re not afraid to be extra. Actually, you kind of live for it
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
This isn’t just service—it’s performance. But it’s also a real, working scoop shop. That means you’ll need to balance wow-factor with work ethic.
You’ll perform:
Create a character—charming, mystical, eccentric, chic—it’s your choice
Improvise scenes with team members and guests like they’re part of the cast
Use accents, gestures, and playful backstories (yes, we mean it)
Engage with guests. Whisper storylines. Deliver one-liners.
Encourage people to take photos, videos, and play along
Treat each day like a shared, unscripted story worth remembering
And you’ll serve:
Scoop premium, handcrafted ice cream with consistency and flair
Keep your station clean, stocked, and safe
Follow daily procedures (opening, closing, health standards)
Handle queues with calm and keep the flow smooth
Jump in wherever needed to support the full team
Run opening/closing procedures like a backstage crew on Broadway
Star in (and/or capture) content for SMiZEsocials
You’re not “just” scooping—you’re starring in the show and helping run it behind the scenes.
THE ROLES: PICK YOUR CHARACTER
SCOOPER:You serve ice cream and energy, make guests feel welcome, entertained, and taken care of. Strong service. Confident presence. Dynamic personality.
SHIFT LEAD:You guide the team through your shift. You solve problems fast, keep morale steady, and help deliver an experience that feels smooth for guests and staff. Think Jr. Manager. Part floor leader, part vibe-checker.
SHOP LEAD:You support The General Manager. You can manage people, product, and pace. You think ahead, step up when needed, and make sure shifts delivers on service, safety, and SMiZE next-level standards.
SOCIAL MEDIA SCOOPER:You scoop and you shoot. You’re in the shop serving guests and capturing standout moments for social. You film, snap, and help shape the shop’s online personality—while still delivering strong customer service. Confident on camera. Fast on your feet. Clear on brand.

REQUIREMENTS
Hospitality experience = great, but not required
Performance experience = amazing, but not required

Must be available weekends, evenings, and holidays
Must be comfortable being around (and in) content
Must be able to learn fast, serve fast, and make people feel something
