About us

LifeChanger Foundation empowers young people to live thriving, resilient lives by developing their social, emotional and resilience skills, and building connections in their community. We deliver school and community programs in the areas of mental health, wellbeing, and leadership for students in Years 5-12. We believe in the power of community, and engage local mentors and partners to connect with the young people we meet. LifeChanger programs are practical and fun, with students learning through interactive activities, engaging personal stories,
and reflective and researched content that enhances their lives.

Our team is filled with passionate, fun, and caring people who truly want to make a difference to the lives of young people. We have a dynamic culture that is embedded in the positive messages that we deliver to the youth in our programs.

The role

As part of the programs team, your primary role will be to deliver LifeChanger’s full suite of engaging youth and mentor programs. These include:

● Year 5 and 6 Mental Health and Wellbeing Program
● Year 7 and 8 Mental Health and Wellbeing Program
● Year 9 Self-Identity Program
● Year 10 Mentoring and Leadership Programs
● Year 11 and 12 Leadership and Purpose Programs
● Community Mentor Training
Other responsibilities:
● Build rapport and connections with the youth in our programs
● Brief student and community mentors before workshops and engage them during
programs
● Occasional overnight/interstate travel for school programs
● Workshop debriefs and training to ensure continued growth as a facilitator
● Attend internal LifeChanger and external training sessions for personal and team
development
● Embody LifeChanger values and culture at all times
● Showing care to your teammates and finding ways to make work fun
● Collation of staff and student feedback to ensure programs deliver on partner
requirements and expectations
● Abide by LifeChanger and Australian child safe policies at all times

Selection Criteria
● Demonstrated passion for working with young people and LifeChanger’s vision to
improve youth mental health
● Previous school facilitation experience (desirable)
● Qualification in Youth Work/Community Services/Education/Mental Health or similar
(advantageous)
● Mental Health First Aid, or willingness to obtain (desirable)
● Current paid Working With Children’s Check
● Current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle to travel to schools
● Understanding of child safety and managing student disclosures
● Ability to work flexibly within a dynamic and fast-paced team environment
● Capacity to work across multiple areas of the organisation as required

2. Applicants will be invited to an interview with the Regional Co-ordinator and/or National
Programs Manager.

3. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a LifeChanger workshop. This is as much
for you as it is for us - we want to know that you love our programs as much as we do!
