Job Description

Opportunity: Lead Artist 8 - 20 hours per week
Rate of pay: $27 - $30 per hour
Contractor role for November and December 2023, with the opportunity for further work in 2024.

Is your secret weapon a paintbrush and an artist's palette? Are you fed up following the endless yellow brick road searching for the perfect job? Well, stop scrolling, you have arrived!

You may not know this, but Champainting started the paint and sip FUN-nomenon in Australia over 10 years ago. Since then, we’ve fine-tuned the fun art experience and we’re currently looking to grow our creative team.

To be considered for an interview, you must attach some of your recent acrylic artworks or replicate one of our artworks and submit with your application.

Who are we looking for? Well, its someone who:

- loves art and sharing their creative passion
- can talk to anyone.. literally
- is confident, social and can self-manage
- is the life of the party
- is creative at heart
- is a natural-born leader, and
- enjoys working with others or independently
Can you read a room, because the library is open!

Like any relationship, here are our non-negotiables. You must:

- enjoy entertaining and making sure our guests have fun
- enjoy guiding our guests from start-to-end how to create their own masterpiece, step by step
- be able to engage our guests and communicate clearly, and
- understand the basic 101’s of painting techniques and have a passion for art
- must be available for evenings and weekends (Thursday - Sunday)

Here's what this cool job looks like on the daily:

- we guide groups of up to 25 people on our own or more with other team members
- we ensure the studio is shining like the Chrysler building for a great guest experience
- we ensure the studio is stocked with everything it needs, and
- we flip and reset the room like its nobody’s business

Okay, so this sounds pretty good, right?
So, when do you need to be available? You’ll need to have core availability during the following times and be happy to work evenings and weekends:

Thursday from 6 pm
Friday from 2 pm
Weekends from 1 pm
November/December availability
Please Note: In order to be considered for the role, you must be available for the above.
