Job Description
Seeking someone to help my dad with his diabetes medication.
He is Type 2 diabetic and is getting to an age where he needs a reminder to test his blood sugar levels and take his insulin.
The Job is quite simple, but some level of commitment is required due is his condition. The job is more about checking that he is ok.
Start would be as soon as possible. Just apply and we will be in touch promptly.
About you:
· Some previous nursing/medical experience would be great, but not essential.
· Familiarity with diabetes management would also be helpful, but again not a problem if you don’t have.
· Available to work 7 days/week, 2 hours/day.
· The hours will usually be between 8am and 12pm, we are flexible with the time.
· A reasonable level of spoken English
The role:
· Help set up a system to enable my dad to remember to take his meds, we will provide guidance and online training for this.
· Check in on him twice a day that he is checking his blood sugar levels and taking his daily medications. This could be done online.
· General tidy up around the house.
· You may need to assist him with checking his blood sugar levels. He should be ok to self-administer his medications ok, but might need some assistance from time to time. We would provide online training for this.
