Eminence Care is seeking an experienced disability support worker to join our team in Bayswater.

Responsibilities: Performing household tasks such as preparing meals, laundry, shopping, linen service, cleaning & Assistance With Travel/Transport Arrangements.

Location: Bayswater


Schedules: Available to work on a flexible roster, which may include a combination of shifts including days, afternoons, and weekend shifts.

Your Duties may Include (but not limited to):
Assisting the client one on one in-home
Assisting the client to achieve personal goals
Assisting client with domestic duties
Assisting client with community access
Assistance With Travel/Transport Arrangements.

About You:
We require support workers to be reliable, committed, and empathetic individuals to provide quality care with the following responsibilities:

Understanding of confidentiality within the Disability Sector
Reporting and recording relevant documentation for NDIS standard
Knowledge of and awareness of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Understanding of Client Incident Management.
Enjoys cooking
Experience in various outdoor pursuits and activities
A practical understanding of hygiene assistance and commitment of care
Enjoyment in social activities and one-on-one engagement
Understanding of physical limitations and has a safe sensible approach
Possess a high level of trust, honesty, and integrity and able to maintain a professional relationship with all participants
Self-motivator and a team player
A can-do attitude and genuine interest in helping others
Creativity, enthusiasm, sensitivity, and emotional stability
Strong communication and organizational skills - able to manage your time and support clients to do the same in an everyday capacity
Those who have strong work ethics and enjoy being a team player
Commitment to providing responsive and considerate care
Effective communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Must have 100 point ID, Copy of Qualification, police check, Working with children check.
Clear National Police check issued within the last 12 months
Working with Children’s Check
Valid Australian drivers license and reliable transport
NDIS worker screening check
Minimum 6 months ·Disability Care
Certificate III or IV in individual support or Disability (or equivalent).
Mental Health qualification highly regarded.
Current First Aid Certificate incl. CPR
Assist clients with medication module (highly regarded)
Current Manual Handling Certificate
NDIS module completion certificate
Experience in behaviours of concern, complex needs and mental health support
COVID-19 Training Module
Minimum 2 professional references required
