We are currently seeking dedicated support workers, who wish to make a difference in the everyday lives of NDIS participants.

We are currently experiencing rapid growth across the Brisbane, Ipswich, and Logan regions. The flexibility to work across these regions would be desired.

The Position

You will be working in a supportive environment with staff who are focused on ensuring our clients receive professional care and support to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. Training and support will be provided to assist you to become a quality support worker.

You will be working independently or in a team and have the flexibility to work across a variety of shifts including weekdays, weekends, nights, sleepovers, and respite care.

General Duties

As directed by the Client Service Manager, and in-line with the client’s NDIS goals, duties may include:

· Personal care – showering, dressing, catheter care, tube feeding etc.

· Domestic duties – mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, laundry etc.

· Food preparation – shopping, preparing, cooking, clean up etc.

· Employment support – private and public sectors, assist with private or public transport to place of employment, assist with employment duties etc.

· Lifestyle needs – assisting with making and attending medical appointments etc.

· Attending respites, providing meals, attending activities, 24/7 care etc.

· Capacity building – assist clients to attend capacity building activities relevant to their support needs.

· Community access – assist with attending personal and community events etc.

· Write and submit required reports.

· Other duties as required.

About You

Friendly and patient with the ability to empathise with people with disability.

Willing to learn and be committed to continuous personal development.

Professional attitude with a willingness to engage with all levels within the Keylinks community.

Skills and Competencies

Competent writing, comprehension, and verbal skills.

Sound mathematical skills.

Proficient computer skills, with easy access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

Ability to follow instructions and work within the limitations of the position.

Ability to work independently.

Requirements

Either have or willing to obtain a Certificate III in Disabilities, Mental Health or a related industry (deemed by the employer).

First Aid and CPR

Current Qld driver's licence

Reliable vehicle

You will be required to apply for or hold a current blue card and yellow card (or NDIS Worker Screening)
