Job Description

CODA Disability Support was established in 1989 and is an NDIS registered, not-for-profit organisation that provides Personal Care, In-Home Respite and Community Access supports to adults with a disability who live in the Brisbane South, Inner-City and Bayside community.

CODA today continues to evolve into a service that recognises ongoing lifestyle changes and endeavours to deliver a range of services which enable independence, improves social connections and promotes positive health and wellbeing.

We currently have multiple opportunities for Disability Support Workers to join our vibrant, hardworking and committed team on a casual basis, supporting clients in Brisbane Bayside, including Wynnum, Cleveland, Manly West, and Capalaba, as well as Brisbane Southside and surrounding areas.

Our office is based in Upper Mount Gravatt; however we provide supports to people in the extended Brisbane area.


We are looking for someone who has:

• Widespread availability to cover long and short shifts with a commitment to regular shift schedules. We operate 24/7 and will require motivated talent to assist our clients with irregular hours, including early mornings, evenings, public holidays and overnight stays (non-active).
• At least one-year experience working as a Disability Support Worker or related field. Experience in personal care, hoisting clients, managing challenging behaviour, and/or administering medication is preferred, or alternatively, you will be quick learner with a passion to support people with disabilities
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and resilience skills
• Good understanding of professional boundaries
• Desirable: PEG feeding and Mental Health experience.


To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Access to your own phone and email/internet
• Current QLD Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
• Valid NDIS Worker Screening Card / Yellow Card
• Current (or an ability to obtain) Manual Handling Competency
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates
• Desirable: Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability, or Community Services (or another relating field). Nursing students are encouraged to apply.
