Premed Peers is a nonprofit organization that offers both free and affordable MCAT tutoring and medical school application consulting to underserved premedical students virtually. Most serious prep courses and consulting cost several thousands of dollars, a price which many students are unfortunately unable to pay. Our volunteer tutors, who have all scored in the 90th percentile in their respective subjects, take pride in helping fellow students prepare for the MCAT and doing their part to make entry into medical school less dependent on a student's background.
This lack of diversity in terms of socioeconomic status is not justifiable nor beneficial as one’s background does not affect one's ability to provide exceptional care to patients. We at Premed Peers believe we all have the ability to turn the tide in medicine and level the playing field for students from all backgrounds - With this ability comes a moral obligation to put our efforts towards creating equity in
