Apprentice Boat Builder

RMC Service Centre are seeking an Apprentice Boat Builder to join our dynamic expanding service team. Conveniently located at Runaway Bay Marina, RMC Service is the dedicated service centre for R Marine Crawley (Award winning Gold Coast Riviera & Belize dealership).

Your work will differ daily, working on various new and late-model luxury motor yachts. Tasks you will learn include, but are not limited to;

Basic 12/24-volt electrical disconnection and reconnection i.e.; replacing bilge pumps, float switches etc
Day-to-day basic vessel maintenance checks, i.e. battery testing and charging, proper care and maintenance.
Installation of basic electronics – radios & aerials
Basic Plumbing
Minor gel coat repairs/touch-ups/ buffing and polishing to complete repairs
Seal and use silicon/adhesives while achieving a correct and aesthetically pleasing finish
2-part cleaning of teak decks & Semco application
Timber cabinetry removal, repair/replacement
On and off-site warranty repair.
Our facility on the marina is modern and comfortable, with accessible access areas for trailer vessels and being close to the marina and travel lift.

Hold previous experience/knowledge of Riviera boats would be advantageous.
This position is permanent, and the workshop hours are Monday to Friday from 7.30 am – 4 pm.
