Named after Sir Samuel Walker Griffith, who was a state premier, chief justice and principal author of the Australian Constitution, Griffith University has grown from humble beginnings in 1971, when it had a total of 451 students. Today 50,000 students are spread across three major campuses in three different South East Queensland cities, including Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Logan. In 2019 Griffith recorded the highest student satisfaction rating out of all public Queensland universities. Here you’ll find four distinct academic groups: Griffith Business School, Griffith Health, Griffith Sciences, and Arts, Education and Law.
