    About the role

    As a Domestic Assistant you are the Regis representative in the homes of our valued clients. You play a vital role in providing customised care and services to each client, supporting them to maintain well-being and independence in their own surroundings for as long as possible with a focus on the provision of high quality domestic assistance. You will contribute to ensure a hygienically clean, tidy, safe and presentable environment to assist our clients to remain living at home.

    Your role is critical in supporting and monitoring the client and their environment. You will recognise and report changes in client needs, while respecting client choices and preferences. You will engage with the client and their family/ representative professionally, and warmly, ensuring clients and their family always feel valued, safe and confident in our care.

    Shift times vary across 7 days including weekends and public holidays

    Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide services to the client in their home as outlined in the Care Plan, and regularly review the Care Plan to ensure you have an up to date understanding of particular client circumstances, needs and services.
  • You will monitor the client and their environment and report any issues, needs, changes or suggestions to your Client Services manager
  • Your duties will differ according to the needs of the client, however may include:

  • Routine household cleaning and tidying of household areas including kitchen, bedroom, living room, bathroom
  • Linen changes and bed making
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting
  • Spot cleaning
  • Emptying rubbish bins
  • Laundry
  • Ironing
  • Meal preparation
  • Unaccompanied shopping
  • Skills & Experience

  • Confidence and ability to use smart phone technology(including email and video conferencing)
  • First Aid / CPR Qualifications
  • Good communication and customer service focus
  • Experience as a domestic cleaner
