We currently have an opportunity available immediately for a highly motivated, hands-on team leader who has experience in Warehouse Operations and managing teams to join our logistics department in Scoresby.

The normal working hours for this role will be Monday to Friday 0600 – 1400.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying/reporting Safety & Chain of Reponsibility hazards and issues;
  • Investigating safety events;
  • Entering and retrieving data in/from SAP;
  • Organising, and managing and leading your team;
  • Loading and unloading products by hand and with forklifts;
  • Organising and managing Metro deliveries
  • Conducting stocktakes and cycle counts;
  • Filling in for the Warehouse and Distribution Manager as required; 
  • Using Microsoft Office Products (including Excel and Outlook)Effectively managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Be a hands-on leader with a very strong commitment to improving the safety of the Warehouse;
  • Have a current forklift licence with reach experience desirable ;
  • Be experienced in managing a team;
  • Experience working in a busy warehouse environment;
  • Have very good fitness;
  • Have strong computer skills, preferably with SAP and intermediate Microsoft office skills is preferred;
  • Have your own reliable transport;
  • Be solution-focused, resourceful and proactive;
  • Have good attention to detail.
  • You must be willing to work overtime as needed and will have a flexible and positive attitude, good communication skills (both verbal and written) and be safety and team focused.
