    About the Role

    These full-time, permanent production chef roles are located in Brooklyn Park in our brand-new purpose-built food production kitchen. Working with a team of dedicated chefs and apprentices you will assist in completing different bulk food production contracts, with the highest-quality of products and services.

    Responsibilities include:

  • preparing and cooking food according to the requirement
  • complying with HACCP and WHS rules and legislation
  • maintaining a clean kitchen environment
  • following direction from kitchen supervisors and managers
  • working in a rotating roster between 7am and 11pm, Monday to Friday
  • stock control and rotation
  • About You

    You will be a qualified chef who is passionate about food and enjoy working in a high-volume, commercial food production environment. You are keen to work in a diverse team with different levels of experience, including a team of apprentices.

    Essential skills and qualities include:

  • a minimum of Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • the ability to work well independently and in a team
  • knowledge of HACCP and WHS in a food production environment
  • experience in bulk or large volume food production (highly desirable)
  • high-level communication skills
  • For this role the following documents must be provided prior to a formal offer of employment with Bedford Phoenix Incorporated:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent qualification or experience
  • a National Police Clearance (no older than six months)
  • Working with Children check
  • evidence of right to work in Australia
  • evidence of FULL vaccination with a TGA-approved COVID-19 vaccine or an acceptable exemption
