Services Assistant/cleaner – Casual

Working on a casual basis, you will be responsible for providing a timely, efficient and effective service that involves the cleaning of the Ceduna District Health Services. Undertaking general cleaning duties in all areas of the health service as required, your duties will include mopping, vacuuming and polishing floors as well as dusting, window cleaning, wall washing, curtain changing and cleaning of sanitary areas. You will participate in the cleaning of toilets, bed making in non-patient areas and rubbish collection, removal and disposal. You will also assist with the loading, unloading and transport of linen and equipment. Make a real difference and feel like an important part of the community. A sound understanding of Infection Control procedures and OHS&W regulations will be highly regarded. A team player who is willing to provide assistance and cooperation to other staff, you will be capable of performing under general direction or working under limited supervision. At all times you will be committed to using discretion and maintaining strict confidentiality.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements. COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Emergency Management (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) Directions 2021 to work in SA Health/health care setting.
