Senior Digital Business Analyst

  • 2 year Fixed term contract
  • Location – Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane

  • $126,384 + Super

    About the role
    As a Senior Digital Business Analysis Specialist on the Digital Aerodrome Services (DAS) Program, you will provide comprehensive and meaningful information, requirements gathering and analysis to assist in achieving strategic, financial, operational and commercial objectives.
    You will understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions to enable us to deliver solutions

    Specific duties will include:

  • Maintain an effective working relationship with Airservices staff to ensure that there is successful coordination of all activities in support of organisational objectives
  • Foster close working relationships within the business to facilitate delivery of projects
  • Work within a large Program environment and manage multiple stakeholders and negotiating common goals
  • Deliver clear, effective written & verbal communication with people at all levels within the organisation
  • Facilitate and run workshops and scope projects and initiatives
  • Analyse the business landscape including current and target processes, stakeholders and impact analysis
  • Support business transition and establish the business change, working closely with the Program Change Manager and other staff
  • Provide analysis and judgement on complex issues, gaps and risks, and make significant contributions to the preparation, evaluation and finalisation of program artefacts
  • Conduct process mapping, including as-is and to-be analysis
  • Demonstrate safety behaviours consistent with enterprise strategies.
  • Traceability and Validation of Safety requirements and how they are met.
  • Skills + Experience

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience working in business and/or technical analysis in a large business transformation program.
  • Experience in documenting requirements from user to functional/nonfunctional level, including as-is to to-be process mapping.
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of various software development methodologies, including waterfall and agile.
  • Experience in preparing requirements as part of statement of works for commercial purposes (procurement and contract).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate with both ICT and business senior executives, internal and external stakeholders and to escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong interpersonal, mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Strong consultation and facilitation skills, both face-to-face and in remote working situations.
  • Solid analytical thinking and problem solving.
