Assistant Store Manager

Programmed are currently looking for Assistant Store Manager for our client located in Darwin, for day shifts Monday to Saturday starting from 7am.

You will be required to customer face, mixing paint and sales achievement. Flexible with start and finish time.

Duties:

  • Tint paint and colour match and make product recommendations to customers.
  • Operate point of sale system and preparing sales invoices following company policy as well as stock receipts, maintain orders and transact customer sales through Point-of-Sale systems.
  • Meet the product and service needs of our customers, deliver store customer service standards and sales achievement.
  • Support marketing and promotional plans, maximising sales potential, and the potential of customer relationships.
  • Work with Store Manager, store team & trade team to maximise sales potential and reach revenue and growth targets in consideration of the store’s goals.
  • Establish a safe work environment, ensure all injury/incident reports are completed to time frame and reporter to Line Manager.
  • Ensure monthly EH&S audits are completed and action any issues and improve findings within a set timeframe.
  • Demonstrate and role model leadership behaviour including customer focus, accountability, ownership, teamwork, and promote engagement.
  • Plan, direct, and participate in the operations of the store on a shift basis.
  • Assisting in the management of expenses, inventory, and stock take.
  • Maintain store housekeeping standards to always benchmark and personal presentation standards (uniform and grooming) following company’s standard.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Perform role following company’s corporate values.
  • Skills and experience:

  • Must have a current forklift licence.
  • Ability to pass a medical and drug and alcohol screens.
  • Retail/Customer service experience.
  • Business Point-of-Sale Software literacy.
  • Recent forklift experience.
  • Availability to work and travel between stores plus working weekends/public holidays.
