You will be working out of our Sydney HQ as well as liaising with our global team of Account Managers based out of our Sydney, London, Vancouver, Manila, and Buenos Aires offices.

About the Role

Freelancer.com is looking for a Junior Account Manager that lives and breaths everything technology! You will be responsible for guiding a wide variety of clients through the site, finding the best freelancers to complete their projects, and hitting monthly targets to drive revenue for the Account Management team.

You will be solving problems for a diverse range of industries, businesses and entrepreneurs; on the other you will help provide people with employment opportunities. If you are excited by the thought of seeing these connections and projects come to life, then we would love to hear from you.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Connecting clients to our top global network of freelancers and making suitable recommendations for their projects
  • Effectively articulate complex information to a variety of technical and non-technical users
  • Serve as a product expert advisor to clients to ensure their business goals are met
  • Ensuring individual and team revenue targets are met on a monthly basis
  • Finding opportunities to upsell or retain clients for future projects
  • Building relationships with our pool of elite Preferred freelancers
  • Provide exceptional customer service through email, calls or live chat sessions at all times.
  • Handle and investigate client issues and recommend solutions in a timely manner
  • Work cross-functionally across different internal teams to ensure top user experience is delivered

Must-haves:

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written; ability to express complex ideas, simply and concisely
  • Has worked with KPIs or targets
  • Ability to multitask efficiently
  • Can work with minimal supervision and self-starter

Nice-to-haves:

  • A degree/diploma in business/marketing/communications, or any related discipline
  • Interest in tech and the start up community
  • Experience in a customer-facing sales role, particularly experience working via phone, email and chat
