Job Description

The purpose of this role is to build relationships with a defined portfolio of small and medium enterprise customers, acting as the main point of contact for all account needs and providing an exceptional customer experience. Via a telephone account management model, drive the retention and renewal of existing business through proactive and ongoing customer engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and/or maintain a direct relationship, primarily through telephone contact, with defined customer base to understand their business goals, needs and issues
  • Develop ongoing customer engagement/account plans and proritise portfolio of customers
  • Drive marketing activities and work with customers to propose suitable products, services and upgrades to maintain and grow revenue
  • Identify and win new business through sustained contact with the customer, and by building a sales pipeline and opportunity management
  • Successful completion of sales administration activities to enable tracking of customer interactions and engagement
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts and external partners to identify and deliver customer solutions
  • Conduct regular health checks with customers and liaise with relevant Vocus support areas to achieve issue resolution, and ensure ongoing customer retention and satisfaction
  • Track and manage upcoming contact end dates and business renewals
  • Partner with internal business areas i.e. Billing to resolve any issues and problems faced by customers, and deal with complaints to maintain trust
  • Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in sales
  • Ability to be persistent and answer objections
  • Natural ability to connect with people via phone
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Good research skills and the ability to translate information into resonating statements
  • Highly organised and timely with follow up
  • Ability to ensure consistency of standards/procedures and promote efficiencies
  • Negotiation, conflict management skills
  • Outstanding commitment to customer service and internal and external customer experience
  • Capable of building strong and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across different cultures
  • Problem-solving skills
