Laboratory Technician Traineeship

Programmed Skilled Workforce , in partnership with TRONOX is looking for a driven and motivated Laboratory Technician Trainee who is willing to undertake a Certificate IV Laboratory Techniques which will be delivered over a 24 month period

Tronox is a fully integrated titanium minerals producer and pigment manufacturer. At our three operations in Western Australia, we extract and process rich mineral sands into a range of valuable products which are exported to international markets. Our sites based in Kwinana, Chandala and Cooljarloo are all within 2 hours drive of Perth and form part of the global operations of Tronox Limited, one of the world’s largest producers of titanium dioxide pigment, with a global customer base.

The Role

The Laboratory Technician Trainee supports operations in a quality assurance/quality control function through product and materials sampling and testing

Skills and Experience

It is important you’re willing to learn and develop your skills over this traineeship and have a good attitude and strong work ethic. You will be willing to work as part of an experienced team, under close supervision and also at times independently:

In Addition to being successful, you will meet the following criteria:-

  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Completion of Secondary Education (Minimum)
  • Ability to work day and night rotating shift pattern.
  • Logical outlook
  • Proactive and hands on approach
  • Good communication both verbal and written
  • Ability to pass a pre employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
  • Location

  • Chandala Processing Plant (based in Muchea)
