Responsibilities
Utilise the Warehouse Management and Inventory System to complete reconciliations and physical stock movements Continuous process improvement of warehouse Responsible for warehouse on-time billing, profitability, and support management in business growth Supervise the warehouse team, manage the day-to-day operations, and resolve queries Monitor and develop team performance, induction, training, and labour hire where required Maintain regulatory compliance relating to Customs, Quarantine, Chain of Responsibility, and the applicable certification and qualifications. Warehouse maintenance such as equipment maintenance and safe work procedures along with Work Health and Safety. Streamline operational flows and resources for all Contract Logistics (CL) customers and complete all relevant reporting activities to local and national CL management Liaise with Australian Border Force and Department of Agriculture & Water Resources in varying circumstances such as non-conformities, changes to Approved Arrangement of Depot and audits etc. Oversee yard management such as pallet control, CTO lodgement and retrieval, FAK import/export – transport loading and unloading, temporary storage requirements etc. Skills required
Experience in a similar managerial role within freight forwarding or 3PL Current forklift licence, high reach experience preferred Understanding of the loader/unloader’s responsibilities in the Chain of Responsibility for road transport Proven commitment to customer service and a can-do attitude Good spoken and written communication skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritise tasks, problem solve and meet deadlines In depth understanding of Customs 77G depot operations and customs compliance (desired) Thorough understanding of quarantine approved arrangement operations and ability to maintain compliance of a class 1.3 facility (desired) Knowledge of aviation security and the requirements of an Air Cargo Agent (desired) What you can expect
