Our client is a national brand in the construction and infrastructure industry with operation that span Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Papua New Guinea and who are working on some of the region’s most iconic major projects. They have a multitude of major infrastructure projects commencing in SA combined with growth within their existing contracts.

Due to this growth, they have an amazing opportunity for a HR Manager to build the function and the team across the SA operations supported by the extensive national People and culture function.

Reporting directly to Director of operations in South Australia with a dotted line to the business unit manager in P and C, you will play a crucial role in partnering with operations to ensure they day to day delivery of end-to-end People & Culture.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of an operational team that is high performing, strategic and fast paced in their approach. Initially standalone (with support from the national P and C group) you will build your small team over time and provide coaching and mentoring to build their capabilities.

This role will suit somebody that can work with the ambiguous and be adaptable to the changing needs of the organisation but who also has the ability to help develop, lead and implement the strategy. It will suit a person who likes to flex between strategic and operational delivery and who can be hands on.

You will have very strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence. Your communication skills will be direct to suit the culture of the organisation.

You will be able to manage multiple projects and priorities and maintain the integrity of the overall people plan.

We are looking for a true generalist with the ability to operate at a very senior level who can basically work across the whole life cycle of HR with a true strength in ER. You must be able to build your profile as the credible expert, therefore we are looking for somebody with a minimum of 8 years’ experience and whose career has been heavily invested in the infrastructure industry.

You will also have a solutions-focused approach, well-developed business acumen and deal with issues and change in a proactive, positive and dynamic way.
