  • A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced ‘hands on’ Warehouse Manager to join a national supplier and distributor of office equipment on a permanent full time basis located in Tullamarine.

    You will be responsible for the day to day running of the Warehouse whilst managing, leading, and motivating a small team of 6 staff members, and driving system & process improvements to increase operational efficiencies within the warehouse.

    Duties will include, although are not limited to:

  • Manage the running of an efficient warehouse operation which can fulfil operational and customer demand and meet set targets
  • Overseeing and assisting the warehouse team to ensure effective operation of the warehouse from receipt of goods, storage, order processing, picking, packing and dispatch
  • Be willing to assist with store duties including loading/unloading trucks and picking and packing orders during busy periods
  • Manage and co-ordinate efficient logistics of domestic and international freight
  • Train new Warehouse operatives within area of responsibility
  • Ensure inventories and stock movements are recorded accurately
  • Ensure that any computerised or automated systems are accurate and up to date
  • Identify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change
  • Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse. Where appropriate elevate the issue to a more senior level
  • Ensure all OH&S guidelines are followed to ensure a safe working environment
  • To be considered for this position you will have:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Solid leadership capability in a ‘hands on’ role, with the ability to lead, mentor and manage a team of skilled people to achieve targets
  • Lateral thinker with the ability to make timely decisions
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Intermediate computer skills with experience with warehouse management systems (Oracle an advantage)
  • LF Forklift Licence and RF Scanning experience essential
  • It is essential that you have a “can do” hands on approach with strong organisational skills.
