JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a contemporary style star comfort hotel conveniently located in the very heart of Melbourne on fashionable Collins Street close to the Town Hall, Federation Square and retail and theatre districts. Featuring 380 guest rooms and suites, bar and restaurant, swimming pool and gym with 8 flexible conference & function venues feature state-of-the-art, conference technology. The ballroom accommodates events of up to 400 delegates in a theatre-style setup or 230 guests for banquets.

Your profile:

Your professionalism and leadership skills will allow you to assist your manager in delegating tasks to the team based on their individual skills. You will be comfortable liaising with different stakeholders in the business including guests and contractors.

You will be flexible to work between the hours of 7 to 7 throughout the week and weekends. You may be required to work outside for those hours at times agreed with your Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be a key player in the business unit’s maintenance function. You will:

Assist the Director of Technical Services in the day to day maintenance requirements of the hotel.

Complete daily plant rounds as required and note for repair any equipment that may appear or sound faulty.

Ensure all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly.

Carry out maintenance requirements and follow up as scheduled by the Hotels’ Property Management System (PMS).

Assist in keeping up to date records on the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment.

Liaise with manager and contractors regarding all work in guest rooms and public areas to ensure out of order areas of the hotel are brought back into use as soon as possible.
