Job Description

We have multiple entry level positions available in the manufacturing industry where you can work and earn a certificate II in Engineering Studies. No experience is necessary! 

Full Time

About the opportunity:

Your first four weeks will include paid upfront employability skills and hands on pre employment training to help you be job ready before we place you with one of our host organisations.

You will be working full time (part time may also be available) in either the fabrication or mechanical engineering streams while completing a Certificate II in Engineering Studies.

We will provide you with additional mentoring, cover your PPE requirements and also cover TAFE training fees throughout this 12 month program. There may also be opportunities for ongoing employment once you complete your Certificate II.

Your tasks may include:

  • Cutting, rolling, shaping, heating or hammering metal products to produce parts
  • Aligning and fixing pieces together through welding, bolting or riveting
  • Operating and adjusting metalworking machines to create parts or tools by turning, grinding, milling, shaping or drilling
  • Cutting, threading, bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
  • Fitting, assembling, repairing and replacing metal parts

    • About you:

  • Are an Australian citizen, permanent resident or have the right to work in Australia
  • Are committed to completing the 12 month training program
  • Have the ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
