Job Description

Reporting to the VP Human Resources – ANZ, this is an autonomous Brisbane based position, chiefly responsible for all human resources activities for the Queensland operations, as well as some broader national exposure.

Key duties will include:

  • Being a trusted business partner for line managers across the Queensland based businesses
  • Providing HR and IR support to align business objectives with employees and managers through an effective knowledge of the business units, operational and financial performance, culture, competition and short to mid-range plans
  • Providing internal and external support such as recruitment, learning and development, payroll and health and safety
  • Providing guidance to line managers in relation to the employee life cycle including defining job roles, recruitment, on-boarding, performance reviews, coaching, performance management, employee engagement/culture and return to work
  • Maintaining a sound knowledge of external and internal compliance and legal requirements and ensure business unit(s) identify and manage risks, including knowledge of Awards, EBAs and policies and procedures
  • Coordinating continuous improvement analysis on policies, procedures, forms, systems and training
  • A wide range of further ad-hoc projects

The Successful Applicant

Ideally you will possess a Human Resources qualification and a strong base of generalist Human Resources experience. It is essential you have the ability to work both autonomously and in a broader national team and also display excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In addition, you will have the ability to influence senior leaders and add value across the commercial business.

Most importantly, you will enjoy the challenge of a diverse role and liaising with a wide range of personnel across the whole organisation.
