Human Resources Business Partner

Your role as the Human Resource Business Partner:

The HR Business Partner provides strategic and operational consultative service to the business in all facets of Human Resources Business Partnering; including Employee & Industrial Relations, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Remuneration Management, WH&S, People Metrics and Insights.

Whilst this role will encompass the full scope of HR activities, its other focus is on supporting the business on all matters relating to Employment and Industrial Relations and Workplace Health and Safety.

You’ll play a key role in the development and implementation of HR strategy and initiatives that help to achieve the vision, strategy and goals of Allianz Partners.

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Business Partner to come and join the team working with a large and fast-paced portfolio of Operational clients.

  • Duties and responsibilities
  • Reporting into the Head of People & Culture you’ll be responsible for the following:
  • Providing quality advice and guidance to your leaders regarding organisational design, succession planning, employee & industrial relations, and HR initiatives.
  • Mentor Managers to help them achieve team performance objectives and drive high performance and engagement.
  • Providing quality, follow-through and excellence in service in all dealings with internal customers and external companies.
  • Providing advice to Team Members and Management on the interpretation of Policies, Awards (Banking & Finance and Nurses), other legislation and the company Enterprise Agreement.
  • Contribute to a harmonious work environment through provision of advice/support on HR matters such as dispute handling, counselling and disciplinary issues and grievances.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Industrial Relations matters within the workplace. Oversee the WH&S framework, proactively participate in efforts to identify risks and eliminate all forms of hazards that pose a risk to health and safety and act as a Rehabilitation Officer on matters dealing with Workers Compensation and non-Workers Compensation cases.
  • Support the completion of the annual performance cycle, remuneration and benefits reviews and advice on market practices to ensure business offerings remain competitive and relevant to internal talent.
  • Partnering with the business to develop initiatives to manage retention, productivity and performance.
  • Assist in preparation of reports, submissions and other correspondence relevant to local management, Global Office and Government departments.
  • Support customers with change management for the key workforce and business initiatives.
  • Coaching and supporting other members within the People & Culture team.
  • What makes a successful HR Business Partner?

    You’ll already have demonstrated business acumen, proven organisational design and transformational change experience and an understanding of the drivers behind enhanced employee engagement and improved business performance.

    You will also have the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, WH&S or a related business discipline essential.
  • Experience in an HR Business Partner role with proven experience in ER, IR and WH&S.
  • Qualifications as a Certificate IV Workplace Assessor, Rehabilitation Co-ordinator and Workplace Health and Safety Officer are desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of Contact Centre operations or workforce planning would be beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability in coaching and influencing leaders to be the best they can be – supporting them to develop and acknowledging the great work they do.
  • Ability to think creatively and not be afraid to challenge business leaders on traditional approaches to business issues.
  • A pragmatic approach and prepared to take calculated risks in the pursuit of business excellence.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate insights from HR metrics to inform business decision making.
