How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?

As our new Digital Environmental Impact and Approvals Lead – Environment and Planning, you’ll work with a team of highly skilled specialists. You’ll be a trusted partner to a diverse range of international clients and develop a deep understanding of their challenges to co-create innovative solutions that help shape the future. You’ll ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of energy, transport, port, government, industrial and resource projects.

Here are the key things you’ll do:

  • Work with the Environmental Approvals and the Digital Enablement capabilities to successfully implement Aurecon’s digital products and services into our environmental approvals projects. 
  • Assist in the continued development of our bespoke digital products, services and ways of working. 
  • Work with our clients and regulators to bring them on the journey of digital delivery.

What are we looking for from you?

We value that each of our team members brings something different to Aurecon. We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life.

Alongside your industry experience in similar management consulting, engineering consulting, or equivalent roles, you’ll also have:

  • Qualifications in environmental science/planning/engineering 
  • Proven experience in managing and delivering environmental impact assessment documents to support Commonwealth and State environmental approvals for medium to large scale energy, transport, port, government, industrial and/or resource projects 
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget, to a high quality  
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and associated technical studies 
  • Experience in providing environmental and approvals advice to internal and external stakeholders and developing approvals and compliance strategies for medium to large scale projects 
  • Preparing statutory applications and supporting reports for Commonwealth and State approvals  
  • Spatial experience using ESRI software suit or other software alongside knowledge of spatial, digital, environment and planning industry trends.
  • A good understanding of spatial data (vector, raster, imagery), best practice data management to inform the project data specifications
