A bit about the role

The Compass Group Recruitment team are looking to meet with motivated, enthusiastic and creative Chefs  across Toowoomba.

These are true hands on roles across several busy school operations delivering high quality food service. For those who thrive off variation and fast paced settings – this is the role for you!! We have full time and  part time  available depending on what you are looking for! 

A bit about you:

Chef or Cook Qualifications with at least 2 years+ experience in a similar role.

A drive to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

A comprehensive knowledge of all kitchen operations and exciting latest food trends

Strong attention to detail, leadership qualities and ability to communicate to juniors & senior members of staff.

An applied knowledge and passion for understanding OHS, Food Safety & HACCP regulations

As part of our recruitment selection process, successful applicants will need to obtain a Blue Card.

Key Duties

Assisting and oversee the preparation, cooking and presentation of all our innovative and mouth-watering culinary offerings ensuring that the food you offer at the site is delivered to an exceptional standard across our menus and daily specials

Actively maintain a complete awareness and desire for nutrition and healthy eating

Championing the significance of allergy awareness and ensuring controls are adhered to

Influencing food costs via portion control, waste minimisation & stock control.

Ensure the safe production of a high-quality product without comprise to the food safety guidelines provided
