Executive Assistant – APS Level 4 (Ongoing)

The National Archives provides leadership in best practice management of the official record of the Commonwealth and ensures that Australian Government information of enduring significance is secured, preserved and available to government agencies, researchers and the community.

The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing high level support to Assistant Director-Generals and the leadership team at the Archives. Working in a busy environment, the Executive Assistant will be an excellent communicator, and will deal professionally with internal and external stakeholders in a courteous and tactful manner. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to organise, plan and anticipate work under limited supervision to meet deadlines. They will also exhibit excellent communication skills (both oral and written), and an ability to deal professionally with internal and external stakeholders in a courteous and tactful manner.

The successful candidate will also have an aptitude and willingness to learn and use the Microsoft suite of programs as well as record keeping systems.

Eligibilities: Applicants must be Australian citizens and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance to Baseline.
