JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Events Executive at Sofitel Brisbane Central, you live up to your passion for event coordination while you provide support to the Sales and Conference and Events teams. You are professional and knowledgeable about the hotel, the local area and the luxury experience, and you are well connected and can build strong relationships and bonds with your clients.

In this role you will prepare proposals for external and internal events to effectively secure new business while managing an existing account profile.

You will collaborate with sales and operational teams to ensure the client’s event is executed to the highest standard, creating a memorable and unique guest experience while maximising revenue for the hotel.

Your experience and skills include:

  • Relevant and recent event coordination or sales experience
  • A minimum of 12 months experience in customer service
  • Take pleasure in or would like to deliver luxury service
  • A desire to build a meaningful professional career in hospitality
  • Highly responsible and reliable, being able to achieve tasks efficiently, accurately and promptly
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

    • What you will be doing:

  • Issue proposals, prepare event orders and coordinate special events and weddings
  • Liaise with operational departments regarding event requirements
  • Communicate with clients and conduct post event follow-up and invoicing
  • Represent a luxury product, ensuring guest expectations are communicated and exceeded
  • Embrace opportunities to sell events and attract new business
  • Contribute to a guest focused and performance driven culture among the Sales and Conference and Events teams.
