The Job

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and dedicated Vocational Trainers & Assessors to support the institute by delivering various qualification as following:

• Certificate III in Commercial cookery

• Certificate IV in Commercial cookery

• Diploma of Hospitality Management

Your Responsibilities will include: 

  • Follow the course curriculum to deliver and assess the respective course in compliance with SRTO 2015 and National code 2018. 
  • Provide teaching and learning support as required to ensure students’ satisfactory course progress 
  • Contribute to the development of courses in a team environment to foster a culture that embraces continuous improvement and best practice.
  • Ensure professional development is continuously maintained for industry and VET currency.
  • Monitor the use of resources and contribute to their improvement.
  • Participate in validations and moderations as and when required. 
  • Maintain confidentiality, composure, and professionalism at all times.

The Profile

Skills Required: 

  • This is a role that requires a highly capable, self-motivated person with the willingness required to acquire the knowledge, experience, and skills to progress to higher levels of duties and responsibilities.
  • Certificate IV in TAE (TAE40116 Mandatory).
  • Minimum 1 year of vocational education and training experience.
  • Ability to use initiative, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Student management system experience is preferable.
  • Extensive industry experience/currency.
  • Knowledge of current industry trends and culture.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of training packages and curriculum development.
  • Effective and efficient time management skills. 
  • Accountability for personal work performance.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Effective and efficient problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to easily mix well with others and satisfactorily carry out tasks in liaison with colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and friendly persona during encounters with stakeholders.
