The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) offers interesting and challenging work that is at the forefront of the Government’s digital policy agenda. The DTA is the Government’s chief digital advisor, responsible for providing strategic and policy leadership on whole-of-government and shared information and communications technology (ICT) investments and digital service delivery. The DTA leads the development, delivery and monitoring of whole-of-government strategies, policies, and standards.

About the position
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources practitioner to join the People and Culture team to support the delivery of the new People and Culture framework. The role will cover employee development and retention activities, including leadership development, DTA’s information series, DTA core skills, learning and development, employee value proposition, workforce planning and metrics.

This position requires a self-starter, team player and someone with an eye for detail, who has the drive to make things happen to ensure tasks are delivered to a high-quality standard. The role requires someone who is an excellent communicator, able to easily build rapport with a wide variety of people, both internally and externally and can work independently to get things done to a high standard.

Key duties 

  • Manage the learning and development functions as well as programs/software, including LearnHub (or equivalent);
  • Design, development and implementation of a wide range of organisational development strategies, such as leadership and management programs, studies assistance, DTA core skills and mandatory training;
  • Contribute to the development of the DTA’s first Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and lead the DTA’s Engagement Agent network;
  • Undertake the workforce analytics function to drive data-informed workforce planning, analysis, as well as oversee the coordination of staff surveys and the APS Employee Census;
  • Conduct the DTA’s exit process, including undertaking exit interviews and using exit survey data to draw meaningful insights that be used to improve the employee lifecycle.

Eligibility

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant experience in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Business or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Security Clearance level required: Baseline (or ability to obtain and maintain).
  • To be eligible for employment with the DTA applicants must be an Australian citizen.
  • An applicant’s suitability for employment with the DTA will be assessed through a pre-employment screening process. This process includes an Australian Police check.
