The Role

Trebartha Apartments have an exciting opportunity for a Handyman to join our friendly team in Elizabeth Bay NSW. The successful candidate will join the team on a flexible Part-Time basis, excluding nights and weekends.

In this role you will be responsible for general maintenance and repairs of buildings, fixtures, and fittings in accordance with the Village Maintenance Plan. You will be responsible for making decisions in relation to the execution of the maintenance activity within the village in accordance with existing frameworks and budget ensuring all work is conducted following the correct procedures.

Part of the role will also involve driving the village van (6-seater), providing safe transportation for our residents, to surrounding suburbs. Some ad hoc responsibilities may involve light gardening duties and assisting with resident functions as needed such as BBQs, morning teas, seminars, set-up and/or pack down of events.

About You

The successful applicant will have demonstrated competence as a tradesperson and experience in a similar role as well as:

  • An organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks

  • The ability to take initiative and be pro-active

  • The ability to work individually and in a team

  • Basic computer skills

  • A Current Full Driver’s Licence

Relevant internal training and inductions will be provided to the successful candidate on-site.

Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check, will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of April-October as well as provide proof of the COVID-19 Vaccination with supporting documentation prior to joining.
