THE ROLE

The Curriculum Coordinator is responsible to develop and coordinate curriculum and teaching materials for Amana Living Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and deliver high quality training services to RTO’s internal and external clients under the guidance of the Training Compliance and Curriculum Manager.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of training packages for accredited and non-accredited courses
  • Deliver face-to-face training as determined by your manager
  • Facilitate Cert III and Cert IV workshops
  • Process Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) documents
  • Prepare and conduct on the job assessments plus marking assignments for students
  • Map resources and assessments to relevant training package
  • Create assessments to meet training package and Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) requirements
  • Participate in assessment, validation, moderation, coordination and assess students on practicum
  • Maintain up to date technical, vocational and industry knowledge as determined by accrediting bodies
  • Identify and document opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Maintain client confidentiality at all times
  • Provide first Aid duties when required for the organisation (First Aider)
  • ABOUT YOU

    The successful candidate will complete training and assessment activities, including reviewing and updating curriculum documents, learning guides and related teaching materials ensuring adherence to the current Standards for Registered Training Organisations (2015).

  • Sound knowledge of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF)
  • High level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and be responsive to change
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities successfully in a high stress environment
  • Highly developed time management, strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct training needs analysis, design capability frameworks and develop training programs
  • Essential Criteria

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Registered Nurse / Enrolled Nurse qualification
  • Broad knowledge of educational theory, including knowledge of Adult Learning Principles
  • Experience within the Aged Care industry
  • Degree or equivalent within the Learning & Development discipline (desirable)
  • Evidence of COVID-19 and 2022 Flu vaccinations
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
  • Successful completion of pre-employment health form and reference checks
  • Current C-Class driver’s license
  • A fully insured and registered personal motor vehicle
