Maintenance Technician

The Role

We currently have a position for a Maintenance Technician.  You will be working in a fast-paced environment maintaining mechanical/electrical equipment in our Packaging and Blow moulding area.

Our Salisbury site in Adelaide’s northern suburbs manufactures a range of more than 78 milk and milk-based products.  This site is a combined production and distribution facility producing well-known brands such as Pura, Dairy Farmers, Farmers Union, and Feel Good; and distributes predominantly SA and NT, but also NSW and VIC.

Reporting to the Reliability – Team Leader this role is responsible for providing repair and maintenance support daily and would suit someone with a continuous improvement mindset to ensure the safety, quality, and productivity of the plant. 

The incumbent must have the flexibility to work on a rotational roster (Day/ Afternoon and Night Shifts) including weekend and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the Asset care strategy for site Food and Beverage manufacturing/process/packaging equipment

• Ensure standards and quality of work are carried in line with safe engineering work practices and food safety requirements

• Timely breakdown rectification and execution of planned maintenance tasks  

• Understand benchmarking and implement plans for continuous improvement opportunities. 

• Making safety a priority & supporting a safety-first culture

About you

• Relevant Mechanical/Electrical /Dual Trade Certificate is essential

• Experience in the beverage or food manufacturing industry

• Sound knowledge of process improvement and problem-solving techniques

• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills

• A safety-first mindset
