  • About the role We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our diverse, compassionate and dedicated team in the Consulting Suites in Hobart to provide effective and efficient administrative support and customer service in a busy health care setting.

    Reporting to the Business Manager, our Receptionist plays a key role in liaising with staff, clients and their families and ensuring the delivery of exemplary customer service. 

    Key responsibilities:

  • Organising consulting sessions, including appointment scheduling and preparation of files
  • Maintain patient billing and receipting (both inpatient and outpatient)
  • Prepare practice banking
  • What you bring  

  • Relevant experience in a specialist practice
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including a friendly and polite telephone manner
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to work both within a team environment and autonomously
  • Proficient knowledge and application of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
