Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Moulding

The Operations team partners closely with ResMed’s five business leaders to understand their needs then providing a variety of products and services to help them meet those needs including Customer and Technical Services, Global Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, manufacturing, logistics and distribution. Focused on enabling new product introduction and operating excellence, our team strives to improve time to market for new products and services, improve efficiencies in our cross-functional processes, and improve our supply chain through digitization and automation to increase value add to our customers.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in a role that offers the challenge of developing and optimising leading edge manufacturing processes in a high-volume production environment.

The Sydney Manufacturing Engineering Team – Moulding, partners with Operations and Product Development teams to deliver on all aspects of the manufacturing of moulded components in ResMed masks for global markets.

We identify, develop, and implement new processes, equipment, and technologies into production to produce high quality products to meet current and future volume, cost and project requirements at the highest quality.

Let’s talk about the role

Initiate the investigation, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes, equipment and facilities that reliably meet specifications for high-volume manufacture

Identify, manage and drive technical projects that enhance operational efficiency and improve manufacturing scalability with context to safety, quality and cost

Co-ordinate and collaborate with internal Production, Maintenance, Quality, Product Development and Planning teams in delivering engineering initiatives or provide engineering production support where required

Represent the Moulding Engineering team on a technical level within business Cross Functional teams be the voice of manufacturing to ensure robust and manufacturable products

Define, develop and execute on process development and validation activities which includes identifying requirements, performing appropriate risk analyses and implement processes in production

Implement digital transformation initiatives within manufacturing to optimise processes within the factory

Collaborate effectively with internal and external suppliers as appropriate

Promote a safe working environment by following OH&S guidelines as well as implementing & closing out actions for the continual improvement of workplace safety

Let’s talk about you

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronic)

Minimum of 5 years engineering experience – knowledge of manufacturing process development, process validation and risk management

Demonstrated to work collaboratively and effectively with other technical team members but also proven to work autonomously

High level of communication agility required to work across organisational teams – Can explain complex problems and solutions to people inside and outside their domain of expertise

Proven self-starter who is innovative, explorative, resourceful and has attention to detail

Quality-oriented mindset and contributes in new ways of working across the team

Demonstrates the ability to translate between business requirements and technical requirements

Experience with injection moulding and/or automation would be advantageous

Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and Data Analytics
