Job Description

We currently undergoing large scale recruitment for Food and Beverage roles at our Darwin Defence sites. This role will see you suporting our busy mess’s feeding Military personal for the upcoming US Marine rotation and other Defence activities.

We have shifts available 7 days a week between the hours of 6am-9pm. We are able to work together to create a roster that works for you. We have some workers that work 38 hours a week on a casual basis and others that work 2 evenings a week in addition to another job. We are flexible!

Time and a half and double time for weekends. No experience required- Training provided.

Primary location: Robertson Barracks, Palmerston.

Specific requirements of the role will include:

Meeting and Greeting Defence Personal

Cash Handling/EFTPOS use

Washing crockery, cutlery, glassware and other kitchen equipment at the end of each shift.

Ensure all packaged and/or perishable items (such as bread, milk etc.) are checked for best/ used by dates prior to service.

Cleaning of the premises and equipment.

Ensuring a high level of customer service is exercised at all times.

Assisting with restock, stock rotation, loading and unloading supplies, stores and equipment.

Assisting with stock take and inventory control for all Kitchen supplies.

Ensuring the facility’s HACCP programme’s day-to-day compliance requirements are met.

Responsible Service of Alcohol (Not Required)

• Must be able to pass a police check
