What’s the role?

• Deliver unique sports content, drive conversation and socially-engage our readers

• Sourcing and creating compelling content that is consumer relevant across multiple platforms

• Engage audiences across both digital and print

• Producing social media content

• Work under deadline pressure for a fast paced newsroom

• Create and expand upon a broad network of contacts in the sports industry and local community

Who are you?

• Previous reporting and newsroom experience

• An interest and knowledge of all sports

• Experience writing quality content to tight deadlines

• Able to produce engaging and snappy copy

• Strong interview skills and news judgement

• You will be required to work on weekends and occasionally will need to work a night shift

• You are a team player with excellent communication skills and knowledge of an extensive range of topics
