About Your Role

Leading Health Safety and Environment across our Digital Systems business and working with multiple stakeholders across Australia, your role will include:

  • Ensuring adherence to HSE regulatory and legislative requirements via an auditable compliance system

  • Aligning HSE priorities and resources to strategy and ensuring management of systems and improvement plans in accordance with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards

  • Determining any specific HSE requirements and risks and ensuring effective assessment and controls are implemented

  • Identifying all key stakeholders both internal and external and ensuring they are engaged and informed. This includes liaising with Government bodies, regulatory agencies and professional bodies on safety and environmental matters

  • Certifying that all hazards, incidents and injuries/illnesses are reported, investigated and controlled, and response programs are in place

  • Reporting and analysing HSE targets/objectives, as well as continually identifying and implementing improvements

  • About you

  • Qualifications in Health, Safety and Environment

  • Demonstrable experience leading a team of health and safety professionals in a high risk environment

  • Extensive experience in the application of OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001, AS/NZS 4801 and ISO 14001 HSE Management Systems

  • Industry experience within engineering, mining, rail or construction highly regarded

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills

  • An extensive track record of building strong relationships with key stakeholders and leading in complex environments;
