  • Montefiore is seeking to appoint an innovative and creative Volunteer Program Manager to lead the delivery of its volunteer programs. 

    Volunteers are integral to Montefiore as they generously give of their time and share their talents. Volunteers contribute to the social and emotional wellbeing of our Consumers and enhance their quality of life. As Montefiore’s Volunteer Program Manager, you will be uniquely placed to ensure the success of their robust Volunteer Programs.

    Reporting to the General Manager of Community Engagement, your prior experience with large scale relationship management (via volunteers or human resources or community programs) will provide a wonderful foundation for this position. Principally, you will lead the delivery of high-quality volunteer programs and services, guaranteeing that volunteering remains central to the organisation’s activities. Your prior experience will allow you to identify and initiate new streams for community volunteer recruitment and engagement including continuous review of volunteer opportunities. Other key accountabilities will involve:

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure optimal utilisation of volunteers to support the organisation needs and goals
  • Contribute to, implement and manage a cohesive volunteering strategy ensuring that it addresses current trends, contemporary and leading practice in volunteer engagement
  • Work closely with local schools to provide volunteering opportunities across Montefiore sites
  • Deliver regular volunteer impact reports to the GM Community Engagement
  • Manage events such as volunteers’ recruitment information sessions and national volunteers week
  • Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience in the same or similar position
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and implement a broad range of contemporary volunteering methods for workforce planning, programs, policies, and operational practices
  • Experience within a large and complex organisation with an emphasis on quality service delivery and results
  • Strong organisational and project management skills coupled with astute business acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with CRM system (preferably Salesforce)
  • Events management experience
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Jewish community and culture
  • Willingness to travel to other sites as per operational requirements
