Housekeepers, Kitchen Hands And Mine Site Cleaners – Expressions Of Interest

About the Roles:
We are inviting expressions of interest for multiple roles to provide camp management services including village management, catering, grounds management, mine site cleaning, accommodation cleaning, tavern, retail and associated services. The village is located in the Kimberley region of Northern Western Australia just outside of Kununurra and provides a ‘home away from home’ for up to 220 contractors and staff. Roles include:
• Housekeepers 
• Mine Site Cleaners
• Dining Room Attendants

Housekeepers : Responsible to ensure a high standard of cleanliness in Camp facilities across accommodation rooms and communal areas including shared amenities and public areas. Responsible for the entire cleaning of bedrooms and bathrooms, full laundry cycle, general cleaning and housekeeping duties in the camp and may require to assist with driving/delivering meals to the field staff. Duties include:
• Entire room cleaning, making beds and cleaning bathrooms, showers, toilets
• Full laundry services including wash, dry and folding
• Other general cleaning and housekeeping duties of communal areas (dining room, gym, walkways, outdoor areas etc.)

Dining Room Attendants/Utility : Responsible to ensure a high standard of cleanliness in dining rooms during meal service. Provide assistance as required to kitchen staff to ensure an adequate supply of food is available for consumption in the dining area during service times. Duties include:
• Sanitisation and cleanliness of the dining room and service areas before, during and after service including wiping tables, sweeping, mopping etc
• Safe food handling and ensuring cleanliness of all food preparation equipment
• Assist in stock takes and other inventory control activities as required
• Perform other suitable duties as directed in relation to building and camp cleanliness, laundry and waste disposal duties

Mine Site Cleaners: Responsible for blended commercial and industrial cleaning services across variety of areas within mine site including admin buildings, crib/dining rooms, bathrooms, washrooms, field equipment, mobile equipment etc. Duties include:
• Detailed cleans of public areas including gates, dining areas, collection and disposal of waste, spot cleaning, including mopping, sweeping, cleaning toilet facilities, car park and walkways, cleaning glass – both internal and external etc
• Laundry services including wash, dry and folding
• Adhere to operation of equipment (SOP), handing of chemicals and manual handling practices
• Compliance with company procedure and standards and observing mine site safety in the course of duties
• Transportation duties from camp to mine site with operations of 
• Perform other suitable duties as directed in relation to mine site cleanliness including

About you:
To be considered for these roles, you will have the following:
• Previous experience in commercial, mine or industrial cleaning – preference will be given to FIFO experience 
• Physically Fit and energetic 
• Ability to work in remote locations and extreme weather conditions
• Experience following safety processes and procedures including chemical handling
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team
• Enthusiasm and commitment to high standards of customer service
• The ability to pass an extensive pre-employment medical assessment, including regular drug and alcohol testing
• Unrestricted Australian work rights
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance 
• Current Australian Manual Drivers License – highly advantageous
