Administration Officer – Rural Community Engagement

  • Fixed Term, full time role until December 2024
  • Based in Burnie or Latrobe
  • Provide a high level of administrative support to a range of community and engagement programs and events.
  • The Opportunity

    You will be responsible for providing a high level of administrative support for the Rural Clinical School within the College of Health and Medicine, contributing to the delivery and planning of rural community activities. You will provide support for a range of community and engagement events and any other public relation activities including careers activities for school, college and School of Medicine Year 1 and Year 2 students.

    Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide high quality support with planning and delivery of a range of event to meet key objectives.
  • EManage the planning and delivery of rural community engagement activities.
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively across the College Health and Medicine sector and help to identify and deliver opportunities for multi-disciplinary community engagement activities.
  • Ensure community engagement activities effectively align with the requirements of the Medicine Program.

    To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate:

  • A degree in relevant discipline with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
  • Proven organisational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing demands and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Highly developed verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • An understanding of rural health issues and the Tasmanian educational context and demonstrated understanding of regional communities.
  • Competence with a range of contemporary office systems and applications.
  • Remuneration

    Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $96,794 comprising base salary within the range of $74,080 to $82,730 plus 17% superannuation.
