Looking for the next step in your career? This entry level Category Assistant role will see you supporting the Category Manager to deliver the category strategy.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Category Manager,  the Category Assistant is responsible for supporting the category manager in delivering the category strategy across Sigma wholesale ranging & Retail brands in line with the Merchandise value proposition, strategy & objectives.

 

This is a great entry level role for someone who has been working in a retail/sales/customer facing role and loking to develop their career under an amazing mentor.

 

Key Responsibilities include:  

 

  • Seamless collation and management of category & supplier activity (Campaigns/Range Reviews), as well as data integrity.
  • Daily use of SAP data to assist Category Managers
  • Prepare all new line information for internal stakeholders
  • Prepare category range review strategy presentations, including PEL
  • Prepare all supplier planning strategy presentations and documentation

 

We are looking for:

 

  • Demonstrated experience within Customer Service / Pricing / Buying or External Merchandise knowledge
  • Competent SAP & Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PowerBI
  • Customer orientation – establishment and maintenance of effective relationships, internally and externally
  • Experience in inventory management & forecasting
  • Demonstrated problem solving and planning skills as well as highly developed written and verbal communication skills
