We are currently looking for an experienced Intellectual Property Senior Associate with experience in Regulatory and Patent matters to join our team in Sydney. Joining our team will see you work closely with Greg Bodulovic Partner on market leading work, in one of the biggest global law firms. 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Working directly with an experienced and highly regarded team of partners, lawyers and paralegals you will act for local, regional and international clients from a wide variety of sectors, including technology, pharmaceutical and medical.

You will play a key role in the team working on the full scope of issues relating to both contentious and non-contentious matters. Your role will include working on, patent infringement and patent opposition proceedings, trademark and copyright infringements, drafting and negotiating license agreement and providing support on complex regulatory matters.

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • Have at least 5 years’ post admission experience in intellectual property, ideally with exposure to patent and broader IP litigation and ideally regulatory work in the life sciences sector
  • Be a team player and act as a mentor to junior members of the team
  • Pride yourself on your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and your consistent delivery of exceptional client service
  • Be well organised, capable of managing your own workload, and flexible in your approach with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively; Demonstrate analytical skills and research skills, both of which will contribute to your success in this role
