    The purpose of the HR Business Partner is to work closely with business leaders and line managers to build their people capability, plan and manage talent and develop solutions that achieve shared organisational objectives. The HR Business Partner is responsible for the provision of advice and support to the business across all facets of the Employee Life Cycle, from recruitment, on-boarding, remuneration & benefits, performance management, training & development, IR/ER issue management through to separation and off-boarding.

    We’re proud of all we’ve achieved so far but there’s much more to do. And your role, as a Human Resource Advisor will be critical in helping us to build a better, stronger, more agile DPS. 

    To succeed in this endeavour, you will:

  • Partner with Senior Leaders within the business to support all facets of the Employee Life Cycle
  • Interpret HR Legislation and The Downer Standard and provide advice to the business
  • Support implementation of Annual HR Processes
  • Conduct Reporting and Analytics to support business outcomes
  • Perform HR Admin tasks to deliver end-to-end support to business
  • A real endeavour, driven by you

    We’re looking for:

  • 2 – 4 years’ work experience in a similar HR Generalist or similar role where you have demonstrated your ability to partner, advise, and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Undergraduate tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline (e.g., Business, Leadership, Management and/or Psychology) or a comparable level of work experience
  • More than anything, you’ll have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a drive to provide administrative support for our projects and programs that build sovereign capability and deliver complex things that matter.
