About the Role:
The Digital Identity Services (DIS) portfolio develops, maintains and supports the department’s critical identity, authentication and authorisation applications. The teams are delivering on the department’s digital initiatives. DIS portfolio has a suite of technologies including .Net core Web API services, Sql Server databases, mobile applications, Angular SPAs and some legacy technologies such as WCF and .Net framework as well as cryptographic components as well, including certificate authorities.

Our products have multiple integrations across government including with services like Document Verification Service (DVS), Facial Verification Service (FVS), DHS’s new GovPass exchange.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure OAuth and OIDC solutions for our applications and services
• Design and implement solutions including RESTful APIs to support authentication and authorisation
• Collaborate with other teams to define technical requirements and ensure that solutions are aligned with business objectives
• Collaborate directly with the Product Management Group to inform priority, risk and solution
• Develop technical documentation, including UML diagrams and other artifacts
• Provide technical guidance to development teams and perform code reviews as required
• Ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
• Perform architecture assessments and provide recommendations for improvements
• Technical representation of solutions with stakeholders and senior executives

  Skills and Experience Required:

• 7+ years of experience in IT architecture, including experience with OAuth, OIDC, and cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS)
• Strong understanding of authentication and authorisation protocols, RESTful patterns and database design
• Knowledge of technical documentation tools such as Enterprise Architect and experience creating UML diagrams
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus
• Experience working in large enterprise environment, preferably Government
• Experience designing solutions involving PKI and integrating with Certificate Authorities desirable
