This global aftermarket product specialist seeks a Group GM to lead the product, R&D and engineering functions across the international footprint for the business. As part of the executive leadership team, this critical role requires a professional with significant leadership experience, a high level of commercial acumen and a process-led approach.
  
Key Responsibilities
  

  • Manage an international product and engineering team to identify product opportunities and solutions within each market. Making decisions on developing new or rebadging/modifying existing products.
  • Distribute projects across the various resource groups to maximize the international group, with a focus on the technical competence and work load of the various teams.
  • Lead and manage a diverse team across a large product function to execute project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, and project deliverables.
  • Manage and lead cross-functional teams to successfully deliver product projects on time and according to the quality requirements.
  • Scheduling, Risk Management and Budgeting experience
  • Monitor and control each phase and steps of project implementation, in partnership with the Program manager.
  • Maintain financial oversight of the product group function, including budgeting, forecasting and management reporting of financial outcomes.
  • Be responsible for revenue, gross margin, and cash flow management of the portfolio of projects.
  • Work with the Program Manager to implement resourcing plans and budgets to deliver program outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  
Background Required
  

  • Tertiary qualified with experience developing and driving multi-site product groups. International teams would be advantageous.
  • Experiencing working across a diverse international product portfolio that have different opportunities and requirements.
  • Strong engaging customer approach. We are looking for an outgoing driver in personality that is still humble in their approach.
  • Extensive experience leading a commercial multi-disciplined team across B2B channels using a customer centric approach. B2C also helpful.
  • Strong understanding of business operations including sales, product, and key account management.
  • Automotive; industrial, electrical; lighting and consumer industry or experience within an industrial consumer product environment considered advantageous.
  • Superb communication and consultation skills with an ability to engage and influence internal stakeholders including your peers at the executive level.
  • Understand importance of building relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Process and systems orientated. Have a natural ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to develop new processes for the benefit of the business.
  • Collaborative in style, inclusive in making decisions.
  • Strong presence and professional in presentation. Able to gain attention quickly and be recognised as a strong leader in the business.
  • Must be able to adapt style depending on the audience and be hands on when required.
  • Proven in driving change.
