HR Business Partner

Your Opportunity

Joining a collaborative people team and reporting directly to the People Director you will provide expert support and advice across all people related matters within your portfolio. As a key contributor to our national Place & Environment team you will work in partnership with the Executive Director and People Leaders to provide strategic and operational expertise with input into projects and design of new strategies.

In this role you will have the rare opportunity to work alongside a team of environmental technical specialists in geographically dispersed teams who create liveable, lovable and sustainable places for our clients. This role is not for the faint hearted, however will suit a dedicated and passionate HR generalist looking to not only lead & drive key people initiatives, but hungry for the opportunity to make a difference in environmental and sustainable outcomes which positively impact the world we live in.  

Your Impact

  • Partner with Managers and Leaders across the organisation, delivering professional HR advice which supports high performance and engaged teams. 
  • Meet regularly & proactively with managers to provide HR guidance on change management, compensation, retention, engagement, talent assessments, and performance development.
  • Consult and coach People Managers to assist them in making robust, people centric decisions that effect change & transitions across the business. 
  • Take ownership for the development and implementation of cultural initiatives/strategies, including DE&I, Health & Wellbeing, Workforce Planning, Remuneration & Benefits, and Talent Management. 
  • Partner with the broader HR team, including experts in Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition and Reward and Performance.
  • Play a key role in the implementation of initiatives that attract and retain external/internal talent. 
  • Ensure that HR policies, procedures and programs are current and in line with HR best practice and relevant legislation. 
  • Coach people leaders to create meaningful, personalised development plans.

About You

You are unquestionably a people person with an open transparent and ethical approach which assists you to build and maintain superior relationships with your internal stakeholders.

You will have 5+ years’ experience with a strong knowledge of HR policies, employment relations, and best practice working as a Business Partner in an internal consulting role providing advice and support to managers in geographically dispersed teams.
