Key Account Manager (NSW) | Life Science/Proteomics/Genomics
About the Company
This is your opportunity to join a global technology and service provider of life science R&D and manufacture. The company specialises in customised genomic and peptide synthesis, and also offers a comprehensive product portfolio in the consumables space; including reagents, cell lines and purification kits.
About the Role
This role allows for a remote working arrangement, and will primarily cover the NSW territory. Reporting to the APAC Sales and BD Director, the Key Account Manager is responsible for managing existing accounts and driving business expansion within the territory.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve the agreed monthly/quarterly/yearly sales and/or profit goals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of sales strategies and tactics for products/services, new markets, and new applications.
- Build a business reference network for business expansion.
- Technical Support Team available to provide applications and administrative support.
- Approximately 40% travel component.

About the Person
This role is ideal for experienced Business Development Managers or Account Managers with experience in the life science/biotech industry looking to move into a remote working environment with a large degree of autonomy.
Essential:
- Academic qualifications in life science discipline
- Minimum 2 years commercial experience in a sales or applications role
- Life science background with specialisation in one or more of the following areas – Gene Synthesis, Protein, Peptide, Bioassay, Antibody or Cell Line products.
- Able to work both independently and part of a team in an international business environment
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
